Hey! I’m Cameron. Nice to meet you.

My newsletter verse is the home of great speculative fiction.

In 2025 Verse will be publishing three things:

  1. Station 2-14: a new science fiction serial.

  2. Notes from the Commute: a review series of books.

  3. Notes from the Desk: a breakdown of writing a serial for Substack.

On Thursdays there will be a weekly release of the science-fiction serial: Station 2-14.

Then, twice a month on Tuesdays, there will be Notes from the Commute and Notes from the Desk. New chapters will fly to inboxes each Thursday at 6.30pm AEDT.

If that tickles your fancy then subscribe away! Would love to have you here.

About me

I’m an Australian writer based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. I hold a Master’s of Creative Writing where I focused on transmedia storytelling. My thesis explored how characters function in different mediums and how the structure of that medium affected them. Exciting, right??

Whether or not you like writing theory, verse has something for everyone. So come along, join my universe and let’s go!
